Sportier. Funnier.
The Monster represents all the essence of Ducati in the most compact, essential and lightweight form possible. Precise in corners. Stable in straight lines. With the SP version you can enjoy more effective sports riding thanks to the absolute top-notch technical equipment such as Öhlins suspension, Brembo Stylema® front calipers, Termignoni homologated silencer, Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires, steering damper and lithium battery.
EQUIPMENT
Suspension
The fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, with the fork 0.6 kg lighter than that adopted on Monster and Monster +, increases the feel, as well as increasing ground clearance and consequently the lean angle.
Braking system
The upgrading of the braking system with Brembo Stylema® calipers and aluminium flanges for the 320 mm front brake discs (0.5 kg lighter than the Monster equipment) makes the Monster SP more performing when braking, but, at the same time, more agile thanks to the reduction of inertia at the front.
Lithium-ion battery
The general lightening of the bike also comes with the adoption of a lithium-ion battery, which brings the overall weight saving to about 2 kg in running order compared to the standard model, already a benchmark in the category for lightness, despite the addition of components such as the steering damper and the windshield.
Steering damper
The sporting potential of the Monster SP is further enhanced by the steering damper, which improves stability under acceleration and cornering.

Frame
The Front Frame is inspired by that of the Panigale V4. Made of aluminum, it is 4.5 kg lighter than the Monster 821's trellis frame, a 60 percent lightening that contributes to the bike's overall lightness.

ABS Cornering
An anti-lock braking system is a safety system that prevents a vehicle’s wheels from locking during heavy braking. Essentially, the ABS regulates the braking pressure on the wheel, allowing it to continuously have traction on the riding surface. There are different ABS intervention levels, depending on the selected Riding Mode.

Ducati Brake light (DBL)
In the event of sudden braking, automatically activates the flashing of the rear light to alert the following vehicles, a solution that further improves rider’s safety.

Ducati Power Launch (DPL)
System that guarantees lightning-fast starts allowing the rider to concentrate only on managing the clutch release.

Ducati Quick Shifter (DQS)
Electronic system derived from racing that allows you to change gears without using the clutch and without closing the throttle when shifting to a higher gear.

Daytime Running Light (DRL)
These are the daytime running lights that are used to comply with the obligation to use dipped headlights during the day.

Ducati Traction Control (DTC)
Traction control is a system that prevents (or limits) spin of the rear wheel under acceleration. Gently manages engine clearance recovery, modulating the torque delivered and avoiding the peak that can occur when clearance recovery is complete, so as to make it even easier and more predictable. acceleration out of corners.

Ducati wheelie control (DWC)
System that controls the wheelie and allows you to achieve maximum acceleration performance with ease and safety.

Ride-by-Wire system
Also known as electronic accelerator, it is a system that electronically manages the opening and closing of the throttle (s).

Electronics at the top of the segment
Standard equipment includes ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, all adjustable to different levels of intervention. The sporty character of the new Monster is also emphasized by Launch Control, which ensures lightning-fast starts. This top-of-the-line motorcycle equipment allows the Monster to safely express its performance.
Sport, Road and Wet Riding Modes allow you to mold the character of the Monster according to your tastes and needs. Everything is easily managed through the handlebar controls and the 4.3-inch color TFT dashboard.

Ducati Traction Control
Traction control is an intelligent system that acts as a "filter" between the accelerator and the rear tire. The system allows a choice of eight different levels of intervention. The traction control levels are preset for each of the three Riding Modes, but can be customized to suit the rider and road characteristics, as well as for other electronic driving aid systems.
Launch
Control
The new Monster SP is equipped with a Launch Control system that enables incredibly efficient starts. The system once "armed" autonomously manages the engine revs (whatever the throttle grip is opened) and leaving the rider with only the task of managing the clutch at the start. A "drag race" proof mode that allows the best possible acceleration.
